Mukul Roy says will resign from Trinamool Congress after Durga Puja

Calcutta: Congressional leader Trinamool Mukul Roy announced his resignation from the lundi.Roy party announced that he would leave the party Monday work committee and resign as a member of the Rajya Sabha and the primary membership of the party after Durga Puja.

“I was one of the signatories when the party was founded.I am announcing with a strong heart that I will resign today from the party working committee.And after the Durga Puja festival, I will renounce Rajya Sabha and also the member principal of the party, “Roy said at a news conference.

Roy, whose relationship with the leadership was handed to the final, said he would give an explanation of why he left the game and why he was “forced to do” after Durga Puja.

TMC, the ruling party in West Bengal, censored last week by Roy intended to join the leaders of the BJP and said he was watching carefully. When asked if he would join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the coming days, Roy said. “All they have to say, I will say after Durga Puja, but I would like to mention that the people of Bengal n ‘not as controversial policies during Durga Puja.”

Once the second in command at the TMC after Mamata Banerjee’s main minister, Roy was absent from an event to publicize Durga Puja’s spokesman TMC Jago Bengali’s September 19 issue.

Banerjee and the entire TMC speaker, except Roy, were present at the event. Roy was recently retired as Vice President of the TMC after the party decided to restructure its committee.

He was previously retired as the leader of the Tripura party, where the TMC made regular inroads until its members moved to the BJP earlier this year.
